To get to Elliot Creek and Goat Lake Trail, you must travel south along Mountain Loop Highway from Darrington's Ranger Station for 22 miles. Get to Elliot Creek Road
#4080 and make a left. Travel 0.8 miles until reaching the trailhead.
This is a 5 mile one way moderate hike that lasts about two hours. There is
an eleveation gain of 1300 feet. This is a very beautiful scenic hike flourished with views of McIntosh Falls and mystical small creeks. This hike
is mostly an uphill workout ending with a short slope downhill that drops you into Goat Lake.
There are great mountains views to be seen from the trail as
well. Goat Lake is a very popular fishing spot, as it gets stocked periodically.
